David S. Robinson, Rector

Dave Robinson has served as Rector at Saint Matthew’s since 1985. Raised in Western Pennsylvania, he traveled east for theological studies at Princeton Seminary and The General Seminary in New York City. During this time, it was the unusual combination of youth work and prison ministry that solidified Dave’s call to parish ministry in the Episcopal Church. Prior to Saint Matthew’s, Dave served congregations in State College and Bellefonte, Pa.

Dave and his wife Lynn, who volunteers as Director of Children’s Education at Saint Matthew’s, have two grown children. Dave remains an enthusiastic if limited cyclist and guitarist and likes to read anything from Theology to Science Fiction Novels.

Aaron Smith - Assistant to The Rector

Aaron comes to us from the Diocese of Tennessee, where he is on track to be ordained to the priesthood.  He is assigned to general parish ministry and is a pastor and presence to our youth and children's ministries.

Aaron graduated from McMaster University in Canada and Sewanee Theological Seminary in Tennessee.  He currently is continuing to do doctoral studies at General Theological Seminary in New York.  His interests include:  nature, hiking, a quiet river and a canoe early in the morning, a good cup of coffee or a dark/amber/nut beer, conversation, and exploring history.  He and his wife Meredith live in Philadelphia.

Vincent T. Liddle, Ph.D Priest Associate

Vince Liddle first associated with Saint Matthew's soon after his retirement from 1997 to 2003.  Vince and his wife Rosemary then traveled south to take care of a new mission in Florida, and later returned north to the Poconos.  When the Liddles recently relocated once again in nearby Ambler, he returned to offer his much appreciated liturgical leadership and sermons as part of the regular rotation, as well as visits to teach the Sunday Forum.
