Deuteronomy 30:15-20 (at 7:45 and 9:00 a.m.) Psalm 1 Philemon 1-21 Luke 14:25-334 Child Care for infants and children through second grade is available every Sunday (including all summer) beginning at 8:45 a.m. Our caregivers Sandy Hayes and Linda Thibault are located in the downstairs Nursery Room directly beneath the Parish Hall.
Our Fall Sunday Schedule begins next Sunday, September 12. Please note we are continuing the same hours of worship as in the summer season. The difference is that classes and forum for all ages beginning at 9 a.m. Coffee is from 10 - 10:30 betweent he main services. Also note the Adult Forum will be offered a second hour each week at 10:30 a.m. Nursery Care is offered all morning beginning at 8:45 a.m. for infants and preschoolers, and for children through the fifth grade from 10 a.m. until 11:45.
Today during the 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. services, you are invited to pray with the clergy (at the cross in the back of the church) for any intention. Directions will be given during the service. Fill the Bus Campaign Update: This summer Saint Matthew's signed up to provide school supplies for 20 kindergarten children served by ESC in Philadelphia. Wow, did Saint Matthew's respond to the challenge request!! We blew away our goal! We provided enough supplies to help 25 children return to school fully stocked for the year. In addition, we had enough additional supplies to partially stock 5 more backpacks for the year. Thank you for your generous support of the ECS Fill The Bus Campaign!!
Come Sell You Stuff!! Saint Matthew's is having a BIG YARD SALE on October 9 from 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. This will be a day for everyone filled with fun, food, and fellowship AND it will be a way to show the community who we are! Come sell your items and earn some cash for yourself. For those who only have a few items to sell, there will be a White Elephant table for those items. The cost of a table will be $25 and those proceeds will go to the Youth Mission Fund. We will also have a bake table and are asking people to donate baked goods. To reserve a table, please use the sign up sheet on the blue bulletin board in the hallway by the Parish Hall. Saint Matthew's Church is NOT JUST FOR US!!

Women's Group - will meet on Wednesday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the home of Nancy McElwee to discuss the book The Lace Makersof Glenmarra by Heather Barbieri. Please call Nancy, 215-855-1888 to let her know if you are coming. All women of the church are invited to attend.
Saint Matthew's Day - Be sure to mark your calendars for our annual picnic to be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010 immediately following the 10:30 a.m. service. Tickets can be purchased throughout the summer by contacting Ellen in the church office, 216-646-4092 or email, parsecy@verizon.net. Ticket prices are $7 per person or $25 for a family of 4 or more.
Parish Office Summer Hours - The Office is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. through the end of August.
