Worship Ministries
Altar Guild The Altar Guild prepares the church sanctuary for worship and cares for the linens, silver, paraments and flowers. Patti Meyer – Director
Acolytes Acolytes assist the clergy and congregation in worship with the candles, cross and plates, and serving the celebrant at the altar. Acolytes are eligible to assist from third grade – up. George Bishop – Director
Eucharistic Ministry Eucharistic assistants receive the gifts of the people at the altar, and assist the priest by administering the wine at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday Contemporary Service. 7:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. service: John McLaughlin - Director 9:00 a.m service: Judy Rosa - Director
Lay Readers The Lay Readers read lessons, lead prayers and administer the chalice during worship at the invitation of clergy and under special licensing. John McLaughlin – Coordinator

Stewardship Committee The Stewardship Committee plans and implements the annual pledge drive to fund the general operating budget of Saint Matthew’s, recruiting and training a staff of volunteers. Pam Dunlap – Vestry Liaison
Music
Adult Choir The Adult Choir leads the congregation in singing during the 10:30 a.m.Traditional Eucharist on Sundays, September through mid-June. This involves the preparation of a wide range of anthem repertoire and service music. Faithful attendance at rehearsals and Sunday services is a necessity. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 8:00 p.m. Carol Farley – Director Terry Farley – Organist
Contemporary Music Team The Music Team (CMT) provides support and leadership for the 9:00 a.m.Contemporary Eucharist on Sundays, and also plays for special parish events. Membership is by invitation and audition, with regular rehearsals on Wednesday evenings. Anne Flood – Director
Children’s Choir In the Children’s Choir, children from first through sixth grades are taught to use their voices in the songs of the church. They also begin to learn the fundamentals of music using hand chimes, percussion instruments and sight singing. They sing several times during the church year.
